Colorly Cosmetics, formerly known as Colour Lover Cosmetics, is a 10-free, vegan, cruelty-free nail polish brand based in Slovakia. Committed to offering beauty that is both accessible and safe, Colorly empowers women to express themselves without compromising their health or the environment. Their mission is to foster a clean, sustainable beauty community, inviting consumers to join them on this journey.
PROJECT BACKGROUND:
Despite its high-quality products, Colorly struggled to differentiate itself from larger commercial brands and attract its ideal audience. The brand’s classic, yet outdated, visual identity failed to communicate its unique selling points—especially in a market increasingly demanding clean, vibrant, and sustainable beauty options. Clarifying Brand Identity:
We began by identifying Colorly's key differentiator: not just the quality of their products but their extensive variety of colors and unique effects. To position them distinctly in the clean beauty space, we refined their core brand attributes as “Good Clean Fun”—a vibrant, playful, yet responsible identity that aligns with their values and appeals to their market.
Target Audience Refinement:
Rebranding requires a clear understanding of who we are speaking to. After conducting market research, we redefined two key target audiences. This allowed us to focus our rebranding and marketing efforts, ensuring the brand’s message resonated with the right customers. We have created a brand book to serve as the brand's strategy and visual guidelines.
Visual Identity Refresh:
Colorly’s outdated visual identity lacked the personality needed to stand out in a competitive market. We revitalized the brand’s logo, color palette, typography, and overall touchpoints. The new logo is modern and playful, yet clean and recognizable—perfectly balancing the brand’s fun, eco-friendly ethos with a professional edge. This unique identity sets Colorly apart, giving it a stronger presence both in-store and online.
Website Redesign:
The original website had an endless scroll format that failed to capture visitors' attention or effectively showcase the brand’s extensive range of SKUs. We redesigned the site to prioritize a user-friendly experience, introducing intuitive product filters and clear product categorization. The updated design not only allows for easier product discovery but also tells Colorly's story with impact—from the homepage to the product pages—guiding the audience through why this brand stands out in the world of clean, vibrant beauty.
